Pastor Dies in Minneapolis Minneapolis, Oct. 19.—(#)—The Rev. Jorgen D. Runsvold, former chairman of the foreign mission board of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America, died Friday at his home here after an illness of six months. He was 62 years old. Ordained into the ministry in 1899, the Rev. Runsvold was one of the! outstanding pastors of the Norwe- gian Lutheran church, serving in Northwood, N. D. Fargo, N. D., and Portland, Ore., until illness forced him to retire from active service. For many years he was president of the Northwood Deaconness Home and Hospital association, Northwood, and a member of the board of direc- tors of Concordia college, Moorhead. Born in Norway, he came to the United States as a boy. He is a grad- or whether he is a Republican or a Democrat; neither do I care whether Tom, Dick or Harry is postmaster of Podunk; and it also is true that I do not now know of any political ap- Pointment that I would care to con-, sider for myself. But I am interested in North Dakota, and I believe it can be made a better state to live in by a chanc: of governmental policy. I do not want two more years of political turmoil such as we have experienced during the immediate past. Hence I am for those candidates running this year under the Democratic label.” MAUDE BOWMAN DIES Devils Lake, Oct. 19.—()—Maude Bowman, 45, died here early Friday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. R.
