The case already has developed sensation after sensation. Pincus Brecher, wealthy New Yorker who} Police claimed was the “brains” of the ring, committed suicide Friday by jumping from his cell block in Montreal jail after a jury had found him guilty of five counts of illicit narcotic smuggling and bribing cus- toms officers. Charles Feigenbaum, silk smuggler and police informant who was to have been a leading witness in Brecher's case, was shot down by gangsters last month. Harry Davis, chief Canadian agent of the ring, is serving a sen- pine of 14 years for narcotics smug- gling.
