Thiel and Clinton R. Stauffer of the University of Minnesota re- ported to 600 members of the Geological Society of America at its 46th annual meeting Thursday. Since the discovery of the skel- eton geologists have not been Satisfied that the body was really of glacial times, but the evidence of the Minnesota investigators went to prove that the body was buried in silt from glacial streams. Dr. Thiel, who presented the joint report, said that fragments of shell and turtle ornaments found near the skeleton were not indigenous to the region, and indi- cated that a race of peopte may have migrated to the Iccality from which the glaciers were withdraw- Anthropological study revealed that the skeleton was that of a girl, 17 years old. In teeth and other features the skeleton has marked differences from those of later humans whose bones have been found.
