This picture deals with the ever timely subject of whether a woman should go out and taste life before she settles down to married life. The character in this film is said to be modeled after a noted New ‘York commercial artist. Cynthia Warren is besieged by offers of marriage; but she wants to be independent of any obligations. A young Prince is madly in love with her but she spurns him, as well as a wealthy business man. How she is reconciled to the fact that she had ‘been wrong in her ideas and ideals all the time, forms the theme of the pro- duction. Barry Norton makes a reappear- ance on the screen as the Prince while Randolph Scott plays the busi- ness man. Others in the film include Sidney Blackmer, Muriel Kirkland, Jessie Ralph and George Nardelli, Victor Schertzinger directed. At the Paramount Jesse L, Lasky’s second independent Production for Fox Film, “The War-| BOOTS AND HER BUDDIES tor’s Husband,” has its premiere here today at the Paramount Theatre It is scheduled to fill an engagement of two days. Based on the successful stage play by Julian Thompson, which had one of the most successful runs on Broad- way during the past season, the story is said to be one of the most novel ever portrayed in a motion picture. Tt deals with the era of the mythical Amazons, when the women wore whatever passed for pants in those Cays, and the men were considered the fair sex. -In what is reported as @ new way of handling a comic situ- ation, the film reveals an intimate love story set amid the pomp and the glories of a strange past. There are legions of fighting women who go out. to do battle and to conquer, and to bring home for their men the prizes of victorious war. The featured role in “The Warrior's Husband” is portrayed by the lovely Elissa Landi, and Marjorie Rambeau is cast as the towering, domineering leader of the Amazons. A newly patented indicator dial for automobile steering posts indicates at a glance whether the car's ignition is working properly or not.
