NEW STANDARD SX CHBVROLET CORSON " DAPLAY SATURDAY New Model Will Be Shown Here _ At Capital Chevrolet Com- pany Showroom Chevrolet's new entry in the auto- tmobile market—“The Standard” Six— ‘will go on public display Saturday at , @ealer show-rooms throughout the United States. At Bismarck the new model will be shown at the Capital Chevrolet com- Pany, 101 Broadway avenue. ‘The present series now is known as the Master Six to distinguish it from the Standard. The new car has a wheelbase of 107 inches. Powered by a valve-in-head six- cylinder engine, the new motor de- velops 60-horsepower at 3,000 R. P. M., ‘and is said to have a top speed of 65 to 70 miles per hour. While certain features are identical ‘with the Master series, a company statement emphasizes that the new Standard Chevrolet is an entirely new car, and not a smaller version of the Master nor a resurrection of an older model. It opens up to Chevrolet that mar- ket represented by people who want lowest first cost and operating costs ‘The new Standard six, the company claims, will deliver more miles pet gallon of gasoline than any other full size car on the market. It is the semi-floating type with torque tube construction and driving taken through the rear springs. Four Deloo-Lovejoy shock absorbers of newest design are standard with els. “Shackles Self-adjusting Front springs are 33 inches long with six chrome vanadium steel leaves 1% inches wide. Rear springs are of the same material and the same width, 54 inches long. The engine rests on the frame at four points known as diamond mount- ing. All body models have large cowl ventilators, and all are equipped with concealed windshield wiper motors, the wiper return being automatic. Free turning door handle locks are provided, with internal button locks.
