ee ak | SOCIETY NEWS Mothers of Rainbow Girls Guests at Tea Mothers of Rainbow Girls of the sity were guests of honor at a tea given Wednesday afternoon in the Masonic temple by members of the Order of Rainbow for Girls, under the auspices of the local chapter of the ‘Order of the Eastern Star. About 125 mothers and their daughters attend- ed. .. Receiving the guests were Mrs. A. C. Brainerd, worthy matron of the Eastern Star chapter, Mrs. Andrew Erdahl, mother advisor; Mrs. Julia ‘Wetmore, grand charit ‘Tait, worthy advisor; and Miss Wilma ‘Wenzel, assoicate worthy advisor. _ Dance and musical numbers were given during the afternoon. Miss Lois Werstlein gave a novelty dance in costume and Miss Peggy Bergeson gave a costume tap dance. There were vocal and piano solos by Misses Tone Noggle and Gladys Risem, re- spectively, Mrs. F. E. Diehl, Mrs. Price Owens and Mrs. Minnie Shuman, all past worthy advisors, and Miss Vada Hea- ton, a past worthy advisor of the chapter, presided at the tea table, which had @ low bowl of bronze chry- santhemums as a centerpiece. Brass candelabra, each holding seven can- dies in the Rainbow colors, were placed at either end of the table. Bittersweet decorated the rooms which were illuminated with a num- ber of floor lamps. Several Eastern Star members as- sisted in serving the guests. The group included Mesdames C. J. Tull- berg, L. P. Warren, George Janda, A. L. Fosteson and F. G. Ackerman. The Rainbow advisory board was in charge of arrangements for the af- fair, with Mrs. A. C. Brainerd as gen- eral chairman. Other committees were: Refreshments — Mrs. F. E. Diehl, Mrs. O. B. Lund and Mrs. H. M. Beall; and decorations —Mrs. Price Owens and Mrs. Frank Ackerman. Guests included, in addition to Rainbow Girls and their mothers, nine girls who are to be initiated Thanks- giving eve and their mothers. New Dancing Club Ree Will Give Party The Junior Dancing club, & new organization formed this week by a group of young men students of Bis- marck high school, has issued invi- tations for its first dancing party, to be held Saturday evening in the Terrace Gardens at the Patterson hotel. Approximately 30 couples are expected to attend. This will be the initial party of a series scheduled for the winter sea- son, tentative plans providing for one affair each month. Those who have been asked to serve as patrons and patronesses for the occasion are Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Law- yer, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Patterson, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Bergeson, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Tracy and Mr. and Mrs, 'W. H. Payne. * * * Mrs. J. C. Oberg, 611 Avenue D, en- tertained members of her bridge club at a 1 o'clock luncheon Tuesday after- noon.
