Miss Marlys M. Lahr And Ray McGettigan Married in St. Paul At a service read Thursday morning on the wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Lahr, 1862 Fairmont Avenue, St. Paul, former Bismarck residents, Miss Marlys M. Lahr became the bride of Ray D. McGettigan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan McGettigan, Superior, Wis., also former residents of this city. Dr. M. D. McLean of Macalester college officiated at the ceremony at 8:30 a. m., at the bride’s home in the Presence of members of the imme- Bee families, There were no attend- ants. The bride's gown was of light blue flat crepe, simply fashioned, and with it she wore white slippers and acces- sories, Mr. and Mrs. Lahr gave a breakfast at the Lowry hotel following the cere- mony. White flowers and tall white candles formed the table decorations. Mrs. McGettigan is a graduate of the Bismarck high school and has at- tended Macalester college, St. Paul, and the University of Minnesota. For the last two years she has been em- ployed as secretary to H. O, Saxvik, city superintendent of schools. The bridegroom, also a graduate of the local high school and of the Su- perior state teachers college, is an in- structor and coach in the high school at Iron River, Wis., where he and his bride will be at home after Sept. 15. Mr. and Mrs. McGettigan have left on a motor trip to Eau Claire and points in northern Wisconsin. Guests at the wedding included the bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. McGettigan, Superior; his sister, Miss Nora McGettigan, Bismarck; and Mrs. E. L. Whitson, (Elva Lahr), aunt of the bride. “se # y P. T. A. Johnson, all of Minot. Sessions will be held at the state teachers college, it was announced, and dormitories will be opened to ac- commodate delegates and visitors.
