WELCH ° Farmers in the Spur vicinity rushed to the scene of a wreck on the Soo Line between the Spur and Stewarts- dale Tuesday afternoon. The train was a mixed one, composed of coach, mail car, oil tanks and box cars loaded wit’: ties. The engine and oil tanks passed over the weak spot but the heavy box cars of ties caused the tails to spread on the rain-softened grade and seven cars were derailed and demolished. Two boys, about 18, were riding in one of the de- railed cars and train men and farm- ers were forced to remove a good share of the ties before they were able to get the two lads out. The two were not seriously injured. The railroad grade and track were badly torn up for several rods and most of the re- mainder of the week was spent in re- pairing the track.
