Mrs. Young, wife of a Mandan pub- isher and printer, died at 5:30 a. m.| Wednesday after an illness of two years following a paralytic stroke. She +e"as 56 years old. a, Mrs. Young came to Mandan w904 with her husband, who assumed trditorship of the Mandan Times, a aveekly newspaper. She actively aid od her husband in publishing this pa- ¢2er as well as the Mandan Republi o4n, another weekly paper, later. } Mrs. Young, who was Myrtle M.! f0le before her marriage, was born at| Gladbrook, Ia., Sept. 1875, the} ylaughter of Northwest pioncers. D., where for nine years Mr. Young was con- qected with the Pierre Daily Capital, ylewspaper. They then moved to! fresco, Ia., where they remained un- | til August, 1904, when they moved to Mandan. Mrs. Young was active in work of the Methodist Episcopal church at Mandan and in the Royal Neighbor and Rebekah lodges and Mandan Civic League. It was while Mrs. Young was attending a Rebakah lodge meeting more than two years ago that she was stricken with paral- ysis. She had been an invalid since. She leaves her husband, three sons, two sisters and a brother. The sons are Russell A. Young, an employe of the Bismarck Tribune company, Bis- marck; Fred A. Young, employed by the Ward County Independent, Mi- not; and Roy O. Young, of the Pioneer Publishing company, Mandan. Her brother, Fred L. Cole, resides in California, and her sisters are Mrs. C. C.
