Several millio start the Wings of the Morning! n Westerners day on SIDE GLANCES - - - By George Clark “Either the next child is named for my side of the family, or it goes without a name.” ASK HUNGARIANS T0 OFFER INFORMATION State Promotion Organization Wants Assistance in Boom- ing Immigration Fargo, N. D., May 11—Hungarian families residing in other states from the Gulf to Atlantic seaboard points are writing the Greater North Da- kota association, asking about the op- portunities this state affords new settler on farms. In addition to for- warding each inquirer with literature and information on this state, the Greater North Dakota association is anxious to learn of Hungarian farm- ers now residing here, who will write to these eastern parties. Many of the inquiries arriving are written in the Hungarian language, and are not decipherable by the as- sociation staff. These letters will be forwarded to such Hungarian farm- ers now residing in North Dakota and who can read them and will an- wer. The last United States cen-| sus shows 5,968 Hungarian persons | residing in North Dakota. A total of 3,449 of these are native born. Supposedly reliable information reaching the association points to the fact that Hungarian families resid- ing in the east and southeast, all of agricultural descent originally, are in- LY BAKING | austrious, thrifty people, and have average savings in excess of $3,500. Many of these, if they found people of their own nationality in North Da- kota, could properly become prospec- |tive settlers in this state.
