OH | At the Movies | OO CAPITOL THEATRE From the pages of a Rex Beach novel comes a story packed with power, Jammed with drama and driv- en through with a motivation that is as fast moving as life itself. Such a story has been transferred to the talking motion picture screen in a Radio Pictures production that is said to be better than the novel in its scope and in its strong human; appeal. “White Shoulders” opens today at the Capitol Theatre with Mary As- tor, Jack Holt, Ricardo Cortez and Sidney Toler heading a distinguished cast of featured players. The sweep of its locales is far- reaching, with scenes laid in South American gold mines, Monte Carlo: gaming houses, Monaco villas, Par- isian fashion salons and New York Pent-house apartments. PARAMOUNT THEATRE Charlie Ruggles, the droll but cherubic-looking comedian of “Young Man of Manhattan,” “Her Wedding Night” and other successful talkies, is to be seen soon again at the Paramount Theatre in his first star- ring picture “The Girl Habit.” In_this picture, which was made at Paramount’s New York studio, Ruggles is definitely launched by his Sponsors into a career of stardom which will carry him to the forefront of screen personalities. _ Ruggles has well-merited the dis- tinction of stardom. His career has been featured by hard work and painstaking care. At a youthful age he began his stage career in San Francisco. It was not long before he was starring in musicals in New York and on the road. Among his biggest successes were “Battling Butler” and “Queen High.” TO MEET IN MINOT Devils Lake, N.
