Many of the neighbors motored to “Mandan Wednesday for the inspec- tion at the experimental station “mid- summer day.” Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lunquist who went to Dickinson the previous Saturday remained there and visited with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Carlson awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cunningham and sons who took her to her parents came back home on Monday to do ‘the work. Gwendolyn Nelson visited with Helen Benn at the John Habeck home recently. A number from here attended the @nnual mid-summer picnic Wednes- day at the Billy Beckman grove. At night they attended the dance held at the Henry Strom barn. Oscar Trygg arrived here recently from Detroit, Mich., and is visiting with his brothers David, Andrew, Charles and Frank. He has_ been teaching an automobile school. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cunningham and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Solberg drove to Mandan Wednesday. ‘They enjoyed a picnic at the tourist camp. Hugo Nelson narrowly escaped drowning recently. It is thought that he went in the water at Apple Creek too soon after eating. He was seized with cramps and had gone to the bot- tem of the creek twice before he was finally rescued by Joe Jiras and the Hendrickson boys from Regan. John Habeck and Geo.
