Mrs. Alfred Zuger, state junior mem- bership chairman for the North Da- kota Federation of Women's clubs, assisted with the organization work and the group voted to affiliate with the district, state and national feder- ations. Mrs. F, E. McCurdy was named president of the group. Serving with her will be Mrs. Louis Ruben, vice president; Mrs. A. G. Olson, secre- tary; Mrs. H. O. Saxvik, treasurer; and Mrs. B, O. Refvem, historian. The following committees were ap- pointed: constitution and by - laws: Mrs. Rubin, Mrs. Saxvik and Mrs. 8. R. Mote; program: Mrs. W. A. Hughes and Mrs. Robert Byrne, mem- bership: Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Arthur Gussner and Mrs. Refvem. Members plan to select a course of study and decide on other details of the work at-their next meeting, Jan- uary 5. * * * A musical program was enjoyed by/ members of the Woman's club at their annual Christmas party last evening at the home of Mrs. H. L. Wheeler, 314 Avenue D. Mrs. E. D. Rose played| a group of piano numbers, and vocal selections were given by Mrs. W. J. Targart and by Mrs. R. W. Shinners, Mandan. During the brief business session the club decided to assist the “Open Your Heart” campaign by mak- ing donations, rather than caring for a needy family, as has been the cus- tom other years. They also endorsed the work of the North Dakota Tuber- culosis association by purchasing a; health bond. Mrs, Wheeler was as- Mrs. J. L. At each place stood tiny Christmas trees and here too, each guest found her gift. ee OK Will School Faculty Honors Miss Huber Miss Mary Huber, teacher at the Will junior high school for the last eight years, was a guest of honor at a dinner party given Saturday evening in the private dining room at the Grand Pacific hotel by members of the school faculty. Miss Huber, who was recently elected Burleigh county superintendent of schools, is leaving the Will school the first of the year. Covers were placed for 15 at the dinner. Later the group went to the Business and Professional Women's club for a Chistmas party and social evening.
