MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 1980 | »: MANDAN NEWS :: Three Filling Stations in Mandan Are Burglarized Jack Endicott, Fort Lincoln Pri- vate, Is Held in Morton County Jail Jack Endicott, private in the Serv- ice company at Fort Lincoln, Bis- marck, was in the Morton county jail today pending an investigation by officials into the robbery of three gasoline filling stations in Mandan Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Endicott was arrested by Night Pa- trolman James Buckley as the soldier emerged from the Texaco station. one of the three places entered, about 3 |<, a, m. Sunday. The soldier, according to Buckley, was in_ possession of an automobile which Endicott claimed he had bor- rowed from Mike Fisher, Bismarck, A burglary was discovered first in the White Eagle station at Second avenue northeast and Main street. A window had been broken and about $150 in checks and cash was missing, according to the manager. This sta- tion was burglarized about 11 o'clock Saturday night. The Texaco and Standard Oil sta- tions opposite each other on Sixth avenue northwest at Main street, had not been entered at 2 o'clock, ac- cording to Buckley, who made an in- spection trip? At 3 o'clock however, Buckley met Endicott coming from the Texaco station, the policeman says. Both the Texaco and Standard stations had been entered. Pennies and tools were stolen from these two stations but about $100 worth of gasoline books were overlooked. Endicott, according to Buckley, had pennies and White Eagle blotters in his possession when arrested. Entrance to all three staticns was made by breaking glass windows. The soldier said he had heard glass crash in the rear of the Texaco sta- tion and had entered the station to investigate. C. Scott, club secretary. E. A. Tostevin and E. V, Staleup are the club members in charge of the program. They did not know at noon today who the guest speaker would be. C. Newcomer, Morton county agricul- tural agent. Cc. L. Hamilton, the water system expert, will discuss installation of water and sewerage systems on farms at tonight’s session, Mr. Newcomer said. The meeting is scheduled for 8 o'clock in the Mandan Chamber of Commerce rooms. Mandan Man Injured When Struck by Auto A Mandan resident named Beehler suffered slight injuries at 9.30 o'clock Sunday night when he was struck by an automobile at Mian street and Collins avenue, Mandan.
