Adam Herdebu and sister, Mrs. Fredolyn Rupp, returned home from Fargo Wednesday where they were called by the illness of Edmund Rupp, who underwent an operation Monday at the government hospital. Mrs. Edmund Rupp and daughter Char- lotte remained in Fargo. Mr. Rupp’s condition after the, operation was said to be satisfactory. G. Schott home at Dana. Miss Anne Whiteness, who has been helping out at the local tele- phone office for several weeks, re- turned to Woodworth Friday. Mothers and Daughters night was observed by the Braddock Study and Civic club at the home of Mrs. Piers on May 12. Mrs. Dexter as hostess was assisted by Mesdames Feltheim, Shepard, Zellmer, Vie, and Fetterley. The members who had thought to dispense with all business for this meeting were indeed surprised when their daughters as entertainers ap- peared wearing their mothers’ dresses and put on a complete club meeting. ‘Usual formalities were gone through. The Ladies’ Aid of the M. E. chufch met at the home of Mrs. E. Saville Saturday afternoon with a fair at- tendance. The afternoon was spent in sewing rags for the making of rugs which they are selling. Rey. Kinzler of Moffit and Rev. Brown of Steele will hold Baptismal services at 10 o'clock Sunday, June 1, at Pursian lake. There will be no services in the M. E. church at Braddock Sunday eve- ning, May 25, on account of the Bac- calauerate sermon which will be given in the high school gym that evening. The ladies of the Woodman circle met in session in the Siem hall Thursday evening with 15 members in attendance.
