: Surplus of Workers Noted Through State Due Winter Idleness Minneapolis, Feb. 14—(7)—Little ‘change in the employment situation occurred in North Dakota during January, according to the monthly seport of the federal labor depart- Ment, issued here today. A surplus of both skilled and un- skilled workers is noted throughout the state. There is some call for agricultural labor but plenty of men are available. Factories are operat- ing with normal forces for this sea- son but building is seasonally dull. At Fargo practically all local plants are operating but the usual winter surplus of labor prevails and little change is expected before spring. Many workers obtained casual jobs during January clearing snow from Streets and highways. At Grand Forks calls for labor dur- ing January were confined largely to requirements for snow-shovelers and coal-loaders. Building tradesmen are plentiful. Little improvement in local conditions is anticipated before spring. | AT THE MOVIES | —_— OO CAPITOL THEATRE Music .. music .. music!
