John Montgomery, who resides south of Bismarck was here a few days ago visiting with local friends. J. B. Racek of Mandan was here a few days ago looking after real estate interests. Oscar Satter of Naughton was here Sunday morning. Mr. Satter had been confined to his home with a severe cold for several days. Mrs. George Burbeck and three children have moved into the resi- dence owned by Mrs. Kate Swick, for the winter months. The Burbeck children have been attending school in town. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wood, who are spending the winter months with rel- atives in Pennsylvania have written to local friends. Mrs. Wood has been il with the influenza, but is now able to be up and around. Mrs. Al Erickson and children Bobby and Beverly of Bismarck arrived Sat- urday to spend a week at the home of Mrs. Erickson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Fricke. The weather being stormy the cattle were brought here in trucks from Mr. Schroeders farm seven miles east of Baldwin. Mrs, Herbert Little has returned home from Bismarck where she has been since the accident she sustained when she fell on the icy pavement, ‘ breaking her knee cap. Ernest Rupp motored to Bismarck Friday. He was accompanied home by his sister Emma who attends high school there and came home over the week-end. Enoch Anderson, local farmer was among those who attended the two- day farm business meeting which was held in Bismarck the fore part of the week. The meeting was called to dis- cuss better methods of farming. J. M. Thompson of Still also attended the meeting. , Mrs. Emil Geigle, who has been on the sick list for some time is again able to be up and around. Sam Hanson, former resident of Baldwin, as written local friends from Holl¥wood, California where he is spending the winter. Sam likes the west fine, and may make it his permanent home. Local friends of Mr. and Mrs. John Kiefer of Wilton will be interested in knowing they celebrated golden wedding anniversary Monday evening. A number of friends and relatives of the aged couple were present. Mr. Kiefer and his wife formerly resided on a farm, but later moved to Wilton.
