whee ape ne} FROSH AND SOPHS BATTLE FOR TITLE: Victors in Yesterday’s Game of Tourney Are Tied in Percentages Freshmen and sophomore bas- keteers of Mandan high school will battle it out tonight for the cham- pionship of the interclass round robin tournament. Each of the two teams has won two games and lost one while the seniors and juniors have lost two and won one each. The frosh yesterday came from behind to defeat the juniors 9 to 8 and the sophomores downed the seniors 10 to 8 in the two games of the third round. * Late in the third quarter of the game yesterday the juniors were leading the freshmen 8 to 2 but could not hold the first-year men in the last quarter. The sophomore-senior tussle was close throughout, with the lead changing often. Despite the fact the freshmen de- feated the sophomores 11 to 5 in an early round, both teams yesterday agreed to the playoff game as their lineups have been changed during the tournament. Athletic Director Leon- ard C. McMahan soon will call bas- ketball candidates for the Mandan high school team together for the first session of the season.
