For the convenience ef the railroads, however, and so that they may operate their divi- | } sions under one time rather than * change at the state line, the rail-; roads will be permitted to conduct their internal operations west of the | Missouri river on the basis of moun- | time as heretofore. Both western } South Dakota and Montana have mountain time and this railroad will not be required to change its time for the relatively short distance it operates in North Dakota, Young Bandits Turned Over to Glendive Cops Minot, N. Oct. 2.—Montana fficers have custody of two young n, apprehended by the Minot po- ice to whom one of the pair con- fessed that he was guilty of having committed a holdup at Glendive, Montana. The two men, John Franks, 26, and W. C. Stephenson, 23, were turned over by the police during the weakens to two officers from Glen- ive, The Montana officers said that a South Dakota farmer was the vic- tim of a holdup near that city, The officers said th Franks and Stephenson struck an acquaintance with the farmer, and Franks asked permission to ride with him. A short distance outside of Glendive, Franks told the farmer that there was a flat tire on his car. When farmer got out of the machine, Franks pulled a gun and robbed him of $145, He then compelled the farmer to walk down the road and e he drove the farmer’s car back to a point near Glendive where he abandoned it and rejoined his com- panion, Glendive officers telephoned de- scriptions of the two men to Minot and local police apprehended them.
