A large crowd attended the Tom Olson sale Tuesday, and things were sold at a good price. The funeral of Robert Sharp, held Thursday afternoon at the community hall at Driscoll, was largely attended. Rev. F. F. Schwindt of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Bismarck preached an impressive sermon, and Rev. and Mrs. Gress of Steele, Mrs. A. S. E. Metcalf and Mr. Apland of Driscoll furnished the music. Mr. Sharp passed away Tuesday morning at his residence at Driscoll, after a lingering illness of about 18 months, He was born near Richmond, Va., March 15, 1851, being 78 years 6 months and 2 days old at the time of his death. He was married to Lucinda Pierce over 50 years ago, and with his family moved to North Dakota from South Dakota 24 years ago and | settled on a farm about nine miles northwest of Driscoll, where the fam- ily lived until nine years ago, when Mr. Sharp retired and moved with his family to Bismarck, where they lived about three years, returning then to Driscoll. Mr. Sharp leaves his faith- ful companion; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Neiman of West Salem, Ore., and Florence, who resides at home; and an adopted son, Robert Sharp, of Driscoll, besides one sister, Mrs. William Pierce, of Garrison, one brother in Montana, and one sister in Towa.
