Kendall Thursday. A lovely lunch was served at the close of the after- noon, Otto Brown was entertained at Sunday dinner at the E. A. Kleeman home. Last Friday afternoon the people were shocked to learn that the barn on the Jones farm had burned to the @ cround and nothing was saved. The cause of the fire was children playing with matches. A Shetland pony and some calves and chickens burned to death. The windmill also just melted over to the ground. This is a heavy loss for Mr. Jones as he had only re- cently bought the Eggen place.
