i TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 1929 CLASSIFIED ~ WHEAT PRICES JUMP AFTER LOW OPENING General Buying Buying Rush Sets in to} ‘Wheat closed buoyant at the day's tiptop point, 3 7-8 to 6 1-8 a bushel_higher than yesterday's fin- ish. Corn was 3 7-8 to 5 1-8 up, oats 1 1-2¢ to 1 7-8 advanced, and provisions varying from 2c decline to_a rise of 5c. In contrast with preceding wild ad- vances and big buying in the wheat market here, moderate downturns of values and noticeable increase of selling formed the rule much of the time today. Friends of higher prices found their ardor cooled as a result of an indifferent response with the Liverpool quotations today closing at only 1-4¢ to 1-2 penny advance.
