DISTRICT COURT Dakota Corporation Demands Slope County Refund $6,000 on Bad Lands Park Tract A session of federal court, which started here Wednesday afternoon, with W. A. Cant, of the Minn- esota district, Duluth, sitting, was still struggling, today, with a case in- volving appeal of approximately $6000 in taxes paid under protest on lands in Slope county, in the bounds of the proposed Roosevelt National ‘Memorial park. ‘The appeal is by the Dakota cor- poration, operating under a Delaware charter and headed by I. P. Baker as president. The lands are in town- ships 136-102 and 136-103. They were sold to the corporation by Captain Baker and they were assessed to pay $14,000 tax, several years ago.
