One round was held Friday even- | and another this morning. In each there were two pairings. The afternoon session will decide which team is to represent the district in the state finals at the University in May. Bismarck and Mandan each had scored two victories up to this afternoon, and one defeat. Hazelton was defeated twice. Hazelton and Mandan, upholding the negative on the question, “Re- solved, That a new national party is desirable,” lost Friday evening— Hazelton to Mandan and Mandan to Bismarck, the winners in each case upholding the affirmative. : This morning Bismarck, on the af- firmative, won from Hazelton. on the negative, while Mandan, taking the affirmative, won from Bismarck, de- bating the negative. The Bismarck winners Friday eve- ning were Theodore Tsilolilnos, Catherine Tolliver and Cynthia Thor- esen. Teh Mandan losers to the local team were Francis Ford, Marcella Sinkule and Alma Johnson.
