Death Threatened Women Two women, operating rooming houses overlooking the murder scene, have been threatened with death. One of the women, Mrs. Alphonse Morin, immediately fled from the city, taking her two daughters with her. One letter, intended for Mrs. Jean- ette Landsman, had been misdirected to Mrs. Morin’s address, and Mrs. Landsman did net know of the threat until today. The first warning was signed “the gang” and advised Mrs. Morin that she had “better keep your mouth shut.” The other letter carried the same threat with the added caution: “If you don’t, you know what will happen to you.” It was signed “Chi Boys.” The two women have told police of three men, believed to have been “spotters” for the slayers, who rented rooms overlooking the Cartage Com- pany garage on North Clark street and disappeared a few hours before the murders. = LOGAL NERD PROBED BY BRADDOCK GROUP 83 Residents Appointed to Committee During Four- Day Community Rally (Special to The Tribune) Braddock, N.
