Thompson, Washburn, tate president of the Parent-Teacher association, has announced an execu- tive session of the board of managers for the North Dakota Congress of Parents and Teachers at Fargo on th 2. The meeting will be held in the Gardnier hotel. May 4-11 have been set as the dates for the thirty-third annual meeting of the national P.-T. congress at Washington, D. C. * Zetetic Club "Gives Party for Husbands Members .of the Zetetic Card club entertained their husbands yesterday afternoon at the E. A. Lund home. Whist was played at four tables, and honors for the afternoon went John Evans, Mrs. J. McQueen, irs. P. A, Shuren and John Wycis- kala. + a “ A three course supper was served after the games, and for this the table was centered with a miniature cherry tree and hatchet. Red, white and blue streamers led to the place cards, white red tapers and vases of pink and red flowers completed the attractive arrangement. Another series of card games were in progress after supper, and honors for the evening were won by P. A. Shuren, Emma Grob, Mrs. M. 0. Agre and E. A, Nyberg. Mrs. J. McQueen, Hankinson, and E. A. Fhelge. se * Out-of-Town School Girls Have Party Games and contests provided en- tertainment for the out-of-town school girls yesterday afternoon at the Business and Professional Wom- en’s club rooms. A committee made up of Miss Mattie Hoppin of the B. P. W. club, and Mrs. George Tekippe, Mrs. O. W. Kolberg and Mrs. R. D. Burman of the Progressive Mother’s club, were in charge of the affair. ‘Miss Ethel Schoen won a prize in the afternoon contests, and the girls took part in group singing. Refresh- ments were served at the close of the afternoon. Chromatic Club Has Ensemble Practice Ensemble work in preparation for a recital which is planned for the first part of next month was taken up at the meeting of the Chromatic club yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Hermann Scheffer. Musical numbers were given by five of the members. Miss Olive Hughes sang Cadman’s “At Dawn- ing” and Ware’s “Boat Song.” “The Violet” (Wazart) and “Mar- riage des Roses” (Franck), that lat- ter in French, were sung by Miss Marian ind Mi Lucille a Coghlan sang “I'll Rock You to Rest” (Standford). Miss Ramona Boepple sang “Pluck This Little Flower” (Ronald) and “Harp in the Woodland” (Martin), and “Onaway” (Coleridge-Taylor) was given by Emmett Griffin. x ek * Small Indian Girls Appear in Program Girls of the primary department at the Indian school gave a very fine performance at the school assembly period last evening under the direc- tion of Mrs. C. B. Dickinson. Drills, quotations, and songs by the fourth girls’ glee club, composed of pupils of the first and second grades, made up the first part of the program. Musical numbers were given by Miss Marguerite Kennedy, who played @ piano solo, and there were vocal sc- lections by Misses Lucile Coghlan and Dency Dickinson, and by Mr. and Mrs, Bruce Doyle. An Indian dance in costume was beautifully done by Mary Slater. A number of Bismarck people at- tended the program. Personal and Social News of Mandan Vicinity Mrs. I, C.
