Grandmother's cooky jar was the subject of Mrs. Hazel Linebaugh’s class Wednesday afternoon at the Better Cooking school, which is be- ing sponsored at the Rex theatre by the Consolidated Utilities company. More than 350 women attended the second day’s session. Many ‘were experienced cooky bakers, who had delighted hungry little boys or girls with their gingerbread or fruit bars, and as many more in the audi- ence were embarking upon that great career of sifting flour, beating eggs, adding this and mixing that. Ice box cookies, mqlasses cookies, chocolate drops, date scotties and date bars were among the recipes which Mrs. Linebaugh demonstrated with her gas cven. The oven dinner for Wednesday included meat loaf, peas and carrot cheerful salad, and rice and date pudding. Mrs. J, S. Hanson was the winner of this delicious dinner, which was delivered to her home. r Other prize winners Wednesday | included Mrs. Anna Stebbins and Mrs. H. H. Hafstrom, waffle irons.
