Whitmore of Minot was elected president of the state Chiro- podists at the meeting held in this city Sunday. Dr. Whitmore suc- ceeds Dr. Clara Westphal of this city. Other officers elected are: Alva M. Glade of Valley City, vice president; Dr. Gertrude Page of Williston, reelected secretary and treasurer. The next meeting will be held in May, 1929, at Williston, Addresses at the meeting were given by J. L. Barth of Bismarck, dda M. Melin of Fargo and Martha Kilander of Minot. ‘ ee Bismarck Boy Will Be Graduated from Shattuck Academy William E. Lahr, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Lahr of this city, will be graduated from Shattuck Military Academy on June 7 when Right Rev. Frank A. McElmain, bishop of 4 Minnesota, will confer diplomas upon 47 boys. Adolphus. Guest of Jamestown and Roy Moore of Fargo are the other two North Dakota boys to be * graduated from Shattuck in the 1928 class, Miss Helen Sayler Hostess at Party Miss Helen Sayler entertained at a dancing party Friday evening in compliment to her house guest, Miss Ruby Peterson of Fargo. The rooms were artistically decor- ated with colored lights for the occasion. In the absence of Mrs. Sayler, Mrs. W. S. Ayers attended the party as chaperon. Miss Irene Brown and Miss Ruth Duncan assisted the hostess in en- tertaining. Mrs. H. Laurence of Mandan was an out-of-town guest. ° * Pupils Presented in Piano Recital Mrs. Anne L. Peterson presented ¢/ 2 group of her pupils in piano recit- al Saturday afternoon at her studio in the Cowan block. Bridge was played at four tables and Miss Henricka Beach won high score. Apple blossoms and lilacs decor- ated the rooms, while the table a pointments were in orchid and pink. A course luncheon was after the games. Miss Burton was presented with a gift of glassware by the hostesses. Frankhausers Are Guests of Honor at Farewell Party Rev. and Mrs. C. R. Important Speakers on P. E. O. Program Mrs, Nettie Miller of Fargo, state president of P. E. O., and Mrs. Ola B. Miller of Iowa City, Iowa, presi- dent of supreme chapter of P. E. O., will be among the prominent speak- ers on the convention program when the state chapter of the P. E. O. Sisterhood meets at the Presbyter- ian — in Bismarck May 24 to 26. The addresses by Mrs. Nettie Miller and Mrs. Ola Miller will be broadcast Thursday evening from radio station KFYR to acquaint the public with the aims and purposes of the P. E. O. organization. Other important speakers on the convention program are Mrs. Myrtle O’Hara, Bismarck; Mrs. Harriet C. Randall, Ellendale; Mrs. Charlotte Reed, Dickinson, and Mrs. Mary J. Hudson, Beach.
