The case was decided several months ago after a lengthy hearing. At that time the state railroad board ordered the railroads to re- move discrimination existing in rates from Fargo to certain points in the south-cent: hay of the state, as compared wi rates from James- town to the same points, Jamestown interests contended that rates from Fargo were much lower for the same mileage. The railroads removed the alleged discrimination by increasing the rates from Fargo and protest was made against this practice. The rates proposed by the railroads were sus- pended and today’s hearing is in- tended to supply evidence to deter- mine what the distributing rates should be, The railroad board is ex- pected to make a definite rate sched- ule when it decides the case. The previous case was reopened, in the previous record. 5 'Earth Shocks Felt in New York State Albany, N. Y., March 19,—(?)—!
