Emch attended the Knights of Columbus banquet and dance given at the Grand Pa-; cific hotel in Bismarck Wednesday evening. Mrs. Christina Anderson left Sun- day for points in South Dakota to visit relatives, after which she will spend the winter with a daughter in Mile sCity, Mont. Mr. and Mrs. Ora Emch have charge of the Pioneer hotel vacated by Mrs. Anderson. A lunch counter has been added at the hotel and will doubtless be much ap- preciated by the public. A large crowd attended the P.T.A. meeting Monday evening. Professor Aanestad gave a most irlteresting talk on phy 1 education in North Dakota schools; Mrs. Sether read a paper on “Contagious Diseases;” Marcella Emch gave a reading en- titled “The Dirty Face;” an interest- ing health playlet was given by Miss Sandie’s pupils and two volcal solors by Mr. Corbit concluded the pro- gram. Luncheon was served and @ pleasant social hour spent. Mr. and Mrs, Jake Wahl and fam- ily motored to Bismarck Sunday to visit their daughter Alma, who is a patient at St. Alexius hospital. Mrs, James J. Clark, who has been a@ guest at the Robert O’Connell home, left Wednesday for Esmond, N. D., where’ she will visit a few days before returning to her home in Minneapolis.
