A renewed selling attack against the in the last hour, which sent Pan American issues to their lowest levels since 1924, started the | selling movement. Buying of the General Motors “old” and “new” issues was stimulated for time by the publication of # news- per interview with John J. The old stock sold above 220 and the new as high as 126% before real- izing sales cut down their gains. In the railroad list a break of nine | points in Delaware & Hudson was the chief development. Publication of relatively poor July ear ments by the Atchison, Baltimore & Ohio and Pennsylvania railroad had a depressing effect on speculating in the railroad group.
