These two numbers exhibited very fine organization and harmony. An encore ‘vice of Chimes” generously played, The first of the solo group was played by Sam Kontos in “Fantasia de Concerto” by Boccalari, for the clarinet. This solo, accompanied by the band, was a true symphony of melody. Mr. Kontos responded to the hearty applause of the audience with a patriotic medley, “Tramp, Tramp, Tramp.” \ Mrs. Graham Sings | “Flowers of Pa Waltzes by Duble was the next number pl d by the band. Joseph Sullivan! played the last solo numbers with] a selection “Mocking Bird” by Stobbs! for the xylophone. This solo was! enthusiastically received. Following the selections from “Magic Melody” by Romberg the band concluded the concert with the “stirring march “Stars and Stripes! Forever” by Sousa. | Deserve Credit The faithful rehearsing and di- recting of the Elks’ band was deeply appreciated by the audience who at- tended the concert last night. Spe- cial credit is due R. E, Wenzel, the director, and each member who has; given so much time and effort to the} building of an organization of such! value to its community.
