LIVESTOCK WHEAT TODAY Export Demand: Lacks Vol- ume and Weather For New Crop Is Favorable Chicago, April 8—()—With gen- eral evening up to prepare for any surplus in the government crop re- port due this atternoon, wheat, ral- lied today from early declines. | Ex- port demand for North American wheat lacked volume, and weather for the new domestic crop was gen- erally favorable. It was pointed out, however, that new crop deliveries, July and September, were selling at about the lowest point for three years past. Wheat closed unsettled at the same as yesterday's finish to 12 cent|; lower. Corn % ce! oats at 4s cent de advance, and provisio: 10 cents setback to a rise of 5 cents. In addition to favorable weather and to big shipments from south of the equator, prospects were that the United States government crop re- port this afternoon regarding wheat would prove bearish. The majority of traders were expecting that the report would suggest a winter wheat yield of between 575,000,000 bushels and 585,000,000 bushels. Mention of green bug infection of wheat in Oklahoma was the new un- favorable development given today by advices from unofficial crop ob- servers. It was specifically stated, however, that no damage from the bugs was noticeable, and that the appearance of the ‘Oklahoma crop as a whole, is clegant.
