Nurses’ Home of St. Alexius Hospital Is Formally Opened The beautiful new nurses’ home of vithe St..Alexius hospital was formal- + «ly opened to the public for the first time this afternoon from 2 to 5& o'clock when scores of friends of. the 1d to see the new build- rs, graduate nurses and receiving line and committees were on hand to show the visitors through the building. The reception will continue this evening from 7 to 10 o'clock when hundreds of others are expected to visit the nurses’ home. Tea was served to thé visitors during the aft- ernoon and will be served this eve- ning. The new building faces on Tenth street and was built directly at the refr of the hospital. Visitors are asked to use the Tenth street en- trance this evening. PARTY WELL ATTENDED About one hundred couples attend- ed the A. O. U. Whittemore and Mrs. Alfred Zuger poured Tuesday after- noon atthe tea givén at the Prince hotel by Miss Mary C. Fairchild of New York city for visiting county superintendents, city teachers, and club members interested in educa- tional work. The tea was given in connection with the opening of an ex- hibit of pictures by the Art Extension Society of New York city which is being held here this week with Miss Fairchild in charge.
