The echo of the grumbles of an insignificant band of malcontents has already died away | and left no effect.” ‘ Need Not Be Alarmed 2 The Paris Times, edited by Gaston Archimbault, who held commissions in both the French and American Fs armies during the World war, said: t “Tourists, particularly from Amer. ica and Britain, need not be alarmed if some of their fellow-countrymen have been booed while driving along the Paris boulevards. The new sport of jeering the sightseeing -cars filled with strangers ix not widespread, It is confined to overgrown youths and hysterical girls. The responsible citi- zen has other things to think about. The thoughtful Frenchman knows that if people in sightseeing cars ar culed, the sightseeing business will suffer a loss of patronage. These considerations are understood by the mass of Frenchmen, who have already ‘ been moved to disapprove, emphati- 1 cally, of the booing incidents. “Editorial opinion in Ameri abroad,” Legion headquarter: “seems. to favor the conven a great step to good will abroad.’ ia Chemical Tests of Many Queer Ways Numerous chemical examinations of water found in various p: the state are being made food onto land young plants Wahpeton.
