ART EXHIBIT COMING The first exhibit of original Amer. fean art to be shown in Bismarck will be brought to the city shortly by the Arts and Letters club, according to an announcement made today by of- ficers of the club. The collection has been loaned by the Oak Park and River Forest. Art League of Chicago, and will doubtless attract-a great deal of interest here. The exact dates for the showing here have not been determined, but will be announc- ed later, BUSINESS WOMEN MEET An interesting discussion of the student loan fund followed the din- ner given for the Business and Pro- fessional women in their club room Inst evening. ROYAL NEIGHBOR CHIEF DIES Word has been received in the city of the death of Mrs. Alice Gilli- land of Rock Island, Ill, supreme oracle of the Royal Neighbor lodge. LaRose and Mrs.) won by Mrs. Y. ‘achte % Paul COUNCIL HOLDS INTERESTING MEETING The Women’s Community Council met Saturday afternoon at the Ma- sonic Temple at which time Miss Helen J/iten of the North Dakota Tuberculosis, association talked on tubercular relief work, particularly in this state, and told of the work of the traveling clinic and the county nurse in checking the deevlopment and spread of tuberculosis. Dr. Maysil Williams spoke on the Shepard-Towner work, giving statis- tics on the death rate among mothers. How this work has he din the health of mothers and children was interestingly told. Meetings of the council are open to all women affiliated with clubs whose representatives make up the council and they are cordially invited to attend. PRESBYTERIAN LADIES MEET . The following program will be given at the meeting of the Presby- terian Ladies Aid society tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock in the church parlors: Devotionals—Mrs, J. L. Hughes.
