The Tribune stated that Mr. Barry was a resifient of Bis- marck at the time of the Custer raid. This is not correct, Mr. Barry did not come to. Bismarck until several years after the Custer tragedy. Mr. 0. S. Goff was the pioncer photographer at Fort Abraham Lin- coln, when. that post was commanded by General Custer, and while at Fort Lincoln, Mr. Goff took a num- ber of phototgraphs of Fort Lincoln, and of nearly gil of the officers who were at Fort Lincoln in the early seventies, which included General Custer, Captain Tom Custer, Yates. Cathoun, Keogh, Smith, Cook, | and other officers who were killed in the battle on June 25, 1876. Mr. Goff afterwards moved to Bis- marek, and later, after Mr. Barry lo- cated in Bismarck, he bought Mr. Goff's interest in his photographic gallery here. Mr. Barry was located at Bismarck for a number of years, and he visited and South Dakota and Montana, mak- ing photographs of the famous In- dian chiefs, which included Sitting Bull, Gaul, Rain in the Face,’ Crow King, Chief Jose ind many other noted Indians. Barry also has fine photographs of all the officers who were with Reno and Benteen in the battle of the Little Big Horn. Yours truly, W. A. Falconer. ——<—<_—____————_* | AT THE MOVIES ; —— ELTINGE THEATRE Johnny Hines has arrived in Bis- marck in his latest feature offering, “Rainbow Riley.” Owing to the new- ness of the picture the Eltinge man- agement has not secured the custom- ary critical reviews, but judging from the sure fire hilarity of his previous pictures, “Rainbow Riley” will be a big entertainment at the Eltinge for today and Saturday. Johnny is a cub reporter sent to report a moun- tain feud and what those wild moun- ceding meeting, were in: charge fom the first time: Olive Hall, president; Mary Longniuir, vice president; Lou Hall, secretary-treasurer. MARRIAGE LICENSE ISSUED Lovis Bridgedale and Thressa May Flanegan, both residing near Bis- marek, were granted a marriage li- cense yesterday in Burleigh county court, LEFT FOR DICKINSON K. C.
