L, Shuman entertained twenty guests at luncheon Thursday at one o'clock at the Country Club compliment to Mrs. C. J. Busch of Grossmount, Calif., who is visiting in Bismarck, the guest of Mrs. H. S. Dobler. The tables were prettily decorated with garden flowers, A course lunch- eon was served. Five tables of bridge were in play during the afternoon. Honors were won by Mrs. W. A. McDonald. Mrs. Busch was presented with a guest favor by the hostess, Seven o’clock Dinner at George M. Janda Home Mr. and Mrs. George Janda of Seventh street entertained at seven o'clock dinner Thursday evening as a courtesy to Mr. and Mrs, Thomas Lough of Omaha, Neb. Covers were marked for eight’ at the dining table, prettily decorated with flowers, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Renden of Mandan were also out of town guests. Clarence Bahmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. August G, Bahmer, celebrated his fourteenth’ birthday last night with a birthday party. Ten boys were guests. Games and music were the amusements. A red nnd white color scheme was used. The center piece was a birth- day cake lighted with candles. Mrs. Bahmer was assisted in serving by her daughter. Clarence received a number of use- ful gifts. ENTERTAIN THURSDAY CLUB The Thursday music club met yes- terday afternoon at the home of Mrs. A.J.
