The board was presented yester- day with a ‘petition by Knute Hebran- son, through F. 0. Hellstrom, attor- ney, asking that it cause the city commission to lease the Auditorium to his client for. the holding of meetings. The board was presented with an opinion of the Attorney-General that the city Auditorium was a public utility. Therefore, Mr. Hellstrom said, the railroad commission should order the commission to lease the building to his client for holding meetings at which lectures would be given, the nature'of which was not specified. The commission answered, how- ever, that under the law it does not have edntrol over municipally owned utilities, and therefore it has no control, over the city auditorium.
