Cooley of Grand Forks; Miss Margaret Welsch, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Larsen and Miss Chrissie Budge assisted through the Miss Sally Larsen, sister of rank Vogel, and who is here visiting, sang and gave a number of readings. Mrs. W. J. Targart also sang. Refreshments were served during the course of the evening, with Miss Hagel Nielson and Mrs. Frank Vogel presiding over the tea and Miss Larsen, Mrs. R. E. Wenzel Mrs. Targart helping in the din- ing room. The reception was very informal at the special reguest of Governor and Mrs. Sorlie. Bouquets of flowers in the various rooms formed pretty appointanen(ts: for ‘the affair. Members of the~House and state officials are to-be entertained at similar functions this week. Senator “CHARM SCHOOL” THURSDAY The Charm School, a very delight- ful and popular comedy in. three acts, is pow nearly ready to be fuged by the Junior Playmakers of t High school. The cast is made up of, experienced actors, most of whom appeared in last year’s Junior Class Play. The Charm School, will be given on January 29th, at the Au- ditortum. Seats may be reserved at Harris & Woodmansee on January 27th, The proceeds of this play will be used to send a one-act comedy to compete at the High School Festival at Grand Forks in the spring. The local chapter of the North Dakota Playmakers was organized to promote dramatics in the High School.
