FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1924 Miss Blumer Entertained Members of the Epworth Hate] entertained last evening at the Meth- odist church parlors for Miss Clara Bumer, whose marriage to Mr. N. L. Mikkelson of Minneapolis has been announced for December 31st. The party came as a surprise to the guest | of honor who had been asked merely to attend a business meeting. business session was very brief and was followed by the unexpected pre- sentation to Miss Blumer of a beau- tiful cedar chest, being a token of| regard from the orgunization of which ‘she has been a member for some time. To Give Cantata Sunday Evening The quartette of the Presbyterian church consisting of Mrs. Frank Barnes, soprano; Mrs. Herman Scheffer, alto; Henry Halvegson, tenor, and George Humphreys, bari- tone, are giving a cantata entitled, “Christmas Tidings,” at the Presby- terian church Sunday evening, De- cember 21, at 7:30 o'clock. * The first part of the cantata deals with the prophecy and the second part deals with the fulfillment of | this prophecy.
