MEN FINED FOR SMUGGLING Three Are Charged Double Duty on Goods Smuggled Winnipeg, Sept, 26—Norval Shut-| tleworth, Ferdinand Schimmer and | Frank Bloomquist, all of Dieboldt,| N. D., were fined in a local court under the inland revenue act for failing to register their entry from, the United States. Bloomquist and’ Schimmer, who operated their smug- | gling on a partisan basis, were each fined $50 and ordered to pay double duty on goods smuggled. Shuttleworth was found guilty of | smuggling radio sets into Canada.! He escaped with a reprimand and! was charged double duty on the sets. C.
