X. Calnan of Valley. Foster is the only other county in North Dakota in which all of the cattle have been given tuber- culin test, | The records show that 35,584 head were tested and of this number 450 were reactors or 1.26 percent. This | percentage of diseased animals is| low compared with other areas, The | number of herds tested was 2,010,| and of this number 224 herds ra tained reactors, 11 percent of tho herds. One herd of 92 head contained 25 reactors, or 27 percent, and another herd of 70 animals contained 17 re- actors, or 24 percent. In nearly} every case where a large number of | 7 reactors were found in a_ single herd, the infection could be traced back to some cow that had pre- viously died from tuberculosis.
