TURNS DOWN Probable Yield in Kansas Set At a Higher Figure Chicago, May 26—Official figures on tk probable yield of wheat in Kansas proved larger than the ma- jority of trades here had logked for, and the wheat market took a dowa- ward swing today during the carly dealings. Fine weather counted also as a_bearish factor, and so, too, did wealbess in corn, Rather general selling by holders of wheat was in evidence, After opening unchanged to 3-4 cents lower with July $1.16 1-2 to $1.17 and September $1.14 5-8 to $1.143-4 wheat underwent a decided round drop. ubsequently prices continued firm today but there was a pronounced absence of speculative buying.
