THENORTHWEST Wheat Price Influenced in Chicago Mart Because > Of This Chicago, April 19.—Influenced by unlooked-for strength in Liv- erpool quotations the wheat mar- ket showed a tendency to rise dur- ing the early dealings. Bullish re- ports as to probably decreased acreage in the Northwest ,especial- ly in South Dakota, likewise had sdéme effect and so did dust storms und lack of moisture in part of the winter crop belt. On the price up turn, however, selling ifcreased. The opening, which ranged. from one-fourth to five-eighths cents higher, with May $1.25% to $1.25%4 and July $1.23% to $1.23% was fol- lowed by a moderate reaction and then by rallies.
