D., Jan, 9—Seized by four masked men as he was driving two young ladies to the Roy John- son farm near here Friday night, Walter Corcoran, prominent young Casselton man, was severely beaten and’ is in 9 serious cond'tion at his home. Neishmier and Joe Erdmier, but the man-have not yet been arrested, ac- cording to the chief of Casselton po- pice. The name of the fourth man is not known. Corcoran was taking the girls to the Johnson farm in a cutter and was held up at midnight about four and one-half miles north of Cas- selton. He was dragged from the cutter and beaten by the men.
