FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 1922 U.S. ENVOY IN PARIS DURING ‘WAR IS DEAD = William Graves Siare. 63,, Dies at Home in Elyria, Ohio ‘Elyria, Ohio, “Nov. 17—William Graves Sharp, former ambassador to. France, died at his home-shortiy be- fore noon here today. Mr, Sharp had | been ill for several days. Mr. Sharp who was 63, spent sev-| eral months in Europe last summer | in the interest of his health and, ac- ‘cording to friends has not been very well since, All of the five Sharp children were | summoned to his bedside late yester- day when his condition beeame seri- ous.” Mr. Sharp was American am- bassador to France five years, serv- ing in’ Paris during the world war. He resigned his post about a year| after the armistice wsa signed. Mr. Sharp’s condition became worse this morning and a Cleveland specialist was summoned by, attend-| ing physicians. Death came an hour} later. Mr. Sharp was Gilead. ~ When he became of school age, Sharp moved to Elyria with his grand parents’ and entered the public schools. After he was graduated from high school he entered the Uniy versity of Michigan. In 1881 ae was graduated from the law /department | and was admitted to the Ohio bar. WEATHER AIDS N.D.
