Chevrolet Motor d Addition of these new plants will give the Fisher Body Company the largest total manufacturing floor space in the world—the aggregate be- ing over twenty million square feet, nearly three times the area of the United States Steel Corporation. According ot Colin Campbell, Gen- eral Sales Manager, Chevrolet Motor Company, Chevrolet is the lowest priced car on the market carrying & Fisher Body, herice it has attracted buyers both from the lower and high- er price classes because of the high |) quality of the body and the engincer- ing improvements in the chassis. Chevrolet is now the largest produ- cer of closed cars of this quality. In one year Chevrolet Motor Com- pany closed car requirements have increased from approximately 9 per cent of its volume to nearly 50 per- cent and indications are that in 1923 more than half of its produgtion will be closed cars. The new Fisher Body Company plants are located at Flint, Michigan, Cincinnati, Ohio, Buffalo, N. Y., St. Louis, Janesville, Wisc. and Oak: land, Cal. The plants will be imme- diately adjacent to the Chevrolet assembly plant and bodies witl be carried on endless conveyors direct to the assembly plant, avoiding the expense and delay of freight ship- ment hitherto experienced because of the distance of the body plants from the assembly plant. It is stated that this saving will be reflected in still} finer appointments of the car. Dr. Scholl’s foot: expert at our store Saturday, October 7th. Examination and advice free. A. W. Lucas Co.
