PAGE EIGHT THE BISMARCK TRIBUNE DEMOCRATS OF MICHIGAN WANT FORD Prepare Resolutions to En-| dorse Auto Manufacturer For President (By the Associated Press) Bay City, Mich., Sept. 28.—A pro- posal to endorse Henry Ford for the presidency of the United States in the 1914 general election was pre- pared for presentation to the re lutions committee of the Democratic | state convention here today. What| the fate of the proposal would be the resolutions committee none of | the state central committee members | would attempt to forecast. The resolution, it is understood, will call attention to the fact that its framers do not “speak for Mv. Ford or with his consent.” The convention met to name can-} didates for the lesser state offices, frame a. platform and complete plans for what they declare will be the most notable Democratic campaign conducted in Michigan within the last fifty years. The resolution eommittee of the Democratic state convention decided this afternoon not to endorse Henry Ford for the esidency “at this time.” A resolution pronosing such en-| dorsement was rejected on,the ground that: “the endorsement would be pre- ature and too far in advance of L election.” i TURKS SEEK TO FORCE BRITISH INTO ATTACK | (Continued from page 1.) stopped by Allied diplomatic pres- sure. It is pointed out that the present revolutionists in Greece are report- ed to be not only pro-Venizelist but pro-Ally, and further that they are men who believe. heart and soul in the greater Greece.
