A. Walsh, director of the pictures, who is George’s brother. It is a Span- ish drama filled with exciting epi- sodes and tender love scenes. The action is laid in the town of Magda- lena, a Spanish possession. and de; picts in an interesting manner, the love affairs of Maria del Carmen, prettiest girl for miles around and Pancho, the governor’s son. CAPITOL When the globe. trotter, Richard Harding Davis, wrote his popular story, “The Men of Zanzibar,” he penned a ro- mance. vivid with tropic coloring and decp-reaching in its movement among the polyglot poputace oi one of the less known places of the earth. It is certainly interesting to know that William Fox, the motion picture producer, has recognized in this story most appealing material for a screen drama.’ This he has made, with William Russell as the star. The picture, which comes to the Capitol theater tonight is said to re- flect the dramatic touches for which Davis was famous, the mystery that takes his stories out of the ordinary class, and a romance without which the tale would be neither Davis-like nor complete.
